Clinical Research
A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study involving 67 overweight adults ages 25-60 was conducted over eight weeks to evaluate the efficacy of 300 mgs of CQR-300 daily in reducing the percentage of body fat. Multiple baseline and post-study weight and fat measurements were taken, including body imaging with dual-energy X-ray absorption (DEXA), the gold standard for assessing body fat percentages.
After eight weeks, the CQR-300 group:
Lost an average of 16.3 pounds, compared with 1.3 pounds for the placebo group.
Reduced body fat 12.8% as measured by DEXA, compared with 0.3% gain in body fat in the placebo group.
Trimmed waist circumference 8.9%, compared with a 1.6% reduction in the control group.
Reduced hip circumference 7.7%, compared with a 1.8% decrease in the placebo group.
Experienced statistically significant improvements in blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglycerides and leptin and adiponectin, two hormones that help regulate satiety, appetite and metabolism.
